Online language learning and teaching:

A round table of multiple perspectives

March 4-5, 2021

(Conference held virtually)

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, foreign and second language researchers, administrators, teachers, learners and parents have all been grappling with the shift from face-to-face to online language instruction. While the fields of applied linguistics and education can offer some insights from prior research, multiple perspectives are needed to shed light on the challenges and affordances of the myriad and complex ways in which computer-mediated instruction impacts learning. GURT 2021 will bring together plenary speakers and invited panels from a broad range of perspectives to examine these issues as they apply to the current COVID-era and beyond.

Conference organized by Meg Malone, Lara Bryfonski and Alison Mackey
