Conference Proceedings

We invite presenters at GURT 2009 to submit expanded versions of their presentations for consideration for publication in the annual GURT proceedings published by Georgetown University Press. A complete list of titles in all areas of linguistics that include all GURT Proceedings can be found here (new window).

The Press has published the GURT series for over a quarter of a century. A new volume will be edited by current conference organizers. Papers will be peer reviewed and organized thematically in this high-profile and high-impact volume. In order to assure timely publication of the volume, please keep the following schedule in mind:

Please let us know by no later than May 1, 2009 whether you plan to submit your paper for publication consideration. Please send notification via E-mail to gurt2009@gmail.com. We then require electronic submission of your paper by June 1, 2009.

Papers should be approximately 20 double-spaced pages in length, prepared in 12-point Times Roman type font. If you use any special fonts (e.g. IPA symbols), please use the Doulos SIL Font (new window). If the symbols you need cannot be found in these font sets, please let us know what font you used.

Please submit the electronic version of your paper in the format described in our manuscript preparation guidelines that you can find here (new window).
